Every time we think of children we imagine children acting with naturalness, freshness, authenticity and spontaneity. However, it's not always like that. Some children think very well before acting to achieve their goals and try to maintain a good relationship with the people around them, they are hypocritical children who act with falsehood.

Children, like adults, do not always behave in accordance with what they think or what they feel. And, therefore, this means that they behave in a hypocritical way because they hide or repress their true thoughts, feelings or desires to adapt to what others expect of them or to get some kind of profit. What to do in front of hypocritical children who act with falsehood

- To behave ourselves authentically.

- Encourage him to be himself

, to allow himself to flow and let himself go without thinking about the assessment that others can make of them.- Help him to be skillful when communicating so that he can express what he thinks or feels without difficulty. Hacer - Make him understand that

we all have the right to give our opinion or let us know what we think or feel. This is what is known as assertiveness. We do not have to hide it. Of course, we must express ourselves carefully without offending our interlocutor and without generating unnecessary conflict.

- Help him not to be afraid of people's reactions . It is impossible for everyone to always agree with what we do or the decisions we make. We have to transmit to the child that we are who we are or whatever we do, there are always going to be people that we like and people we do not.

Should we be alarmed if we detect that our son is a hypocrite? Absolutely NO! They are tremendously skilled children who have learned how to act so that others have a good image of them or to obtain some benefit. But, it is true that when we detect a person who acts with falsehood we are likely to stop trusting him. The term hypocrite means "actor or actress", so if our child behaves hypocritically, it is possible that some people lose the trust they have placed in him. And, if this is maintained over time, it can end up being a problem.

On the other hand, it is possible that if our son behaves in a hypocritical way, it is because he avoids conflict and does not dare to show others what he really thinks or feels. If this is the case, we must enhance their social skills so that they can behave assertively and relate successfully to other people.
