tells the story, that many years ago, in a place in Mexico where Monte Tepenyacrises, lived a little Indian named Juan Diego, along with his uncle Bernardino.

Juan Diego was a very good child, who always helped his uncle in all the tasks of home and work, because the man was very sick and could barely stand up.

On a cold morning of December 9, 1531, Juan Diego was on his way from the city to his classes, when a voice called him when he passed near Tepenyac hill.

Juan Diego did not know who was calling him, so ascended the summit of the mountain, from where the voice came, to see who it was.

There he met a very beautiful woman, who with sweet words said:

- Juan Diego, my little one, I am the Virgin Mary, the mother of God, and I hope that on this summit a temple will be built for me to attend to those who need me. With this temple the people of the town will be able to come to tell me their sorrows and pains and I will be able to help them. Please go to the bishop's palace and convey my words to him. Cla - Of course yes, my lady, now I'm going, "answered Juan Diego as he ran to the town. At that time, the bishop was a Spaniard named San Juan de Zumárraga

, a Franciscan monk who had been evangelizing the indigenous people for a time in that land.

The bishop listened to the child attentively: - Juan Diego, I understand your fervor for the Virgin, but if you brought me atest

I would believe you and raise the temple as you say that the virgin has asked you.

Juan Diego returned running very excited to the top of Mount Tepenyac, to tell the Virgin what happened. - Calm down Juan Diego - said the Virgin - tomorrow morning come again and I will give you the proof that the bishop needs. A But the next morning Juan Diego's uncle got very sick

and asked his nephew to call a priest to give him extreme unction.

So Diego, ran and ran, skirting Mount Tepenyac not to waste time, in search of the priest.

Suddenly the Virgin appeared to him :

- Where are you going Juan Diego so running? Lo - Sorry virgin, I could not come to see you because my uncle is very sick and needs help - Juan Diego told him very sorry. No - Do not worry about my child, I assure you that your uncle will be fine, but I need you to go talk to the bishop and hand him the proof that I am going to leave you. Climb the hill, there you will find

hundreds of flowers that is impossible to flower with this cold. Cut them off and take them in your cloak to the bishop, that will be enough to make you believe.Juan Diego, did what the Virgin told him, and went to the palace of the bishop.

- Bishop, I bring you the proof you asked me! - Juan Diego said unfolding his cloak on the ground.

- Immediately all the flowers I had collected spilled on the ground. Next to them was the image of the Virgin printed on the child's mantle.

- Miracle, miracle, the Virgin has done a miracle! - the bishop shouted. At that moment he decided to build the church on the top of Mount Tepenyac. When Juan Diego arrived at his house, and found his uncle completely healed.

- Diego, the Virgin has come to see me and has healed me! She also told me that, from now on, she will be known as the Virgin of Guadalupe.
