The firefly and the toad. Short story for children

A naive firefly was walking in the garden.

Very close to her, a toad was dying of envy to see its soft shine.

As soon as he had her within reach, he caught her between his legs.

Almost dead of suffocation, the firefly asked:

- Why do you do this to me?

What have I done to you to treat me like that?

And the toad replied:

-Why do you shine like that? That is for me the biggest offense.

Moral: Always take care of the envious, since they can end up hurting you.
