Fontaine's Fables for children. The two roosters

In a henhouse lived two roosters, who never had a conflict, shared the place in peace and harmony. One day the farmer, brought to the corral a beautiful and haughty hen, which roosters fell in love with at first sight. So they went from being friends, to being rivals, to competing for the love of the beautiful little hen.

They decided to face each other in combat, and the victor would be credited with the love of the lady. They fought for a long time, until the strongest one left the arm of the hen and the other retired to the corral funds to mourn his grief.
