An illustration is a photograph, drawing or sheet that is placed in a text or printed to graphically represent the exposed, exemplify it or make the result more attractive. A story is a short story of fiction.

But, why do you usually combine both resources? Why are the illustrations so important in children's stories? The answer seems obvious but it has an interesting why. The illustrations in the children's stories

Sometimes the illustrations tell the stories without needing to rely on the texts, as is the case of the illustrated albums, the images are so suggestive that they carry all the narrative weight of the story but,

generally, the illustrations and texts complement each other and, often, the way in which they interrelate depends on the success of a children's story . A text can be very good but accompanied by a bad illustration will detract from it and the same thing will happen the other way around. It is clear that the first thing that draws the attention of a story, the first thing that comes through the eyes, are the illustrations, in that there is no discussion.Even if children do not know how to read, they will be attracted to the images and photographs of the books and, if they understand this "visual language" that enriches and complements the text so extraordinarily, they will immediately connect with the story and will happily enter the world of fantasy.

The combination of different colors in the illustrations of the children's stories: the shapes, the size, how they are made, whether with paints, markers, collages, watercolors or digitized,

will be essential to catch the attention of the little ones and they will make them happy and eager to read future stories. Normally when a story is published, illustrator and writer must agree, then there must be a balance between one and the other but, I think it is right that the illustrator has freedom when creating from a text because illustrating it well is enriching it is an essential way to communicate and,

a children's story with attractive images will be entertaining, fun, stimulate the imagination and imagination of children and, therefore, increase the taste for reading in addition to providing them a while very nice. The illustrations are fundamental so that children can understand a text well

, they must be clear and appropriate to their age and their purpose will be to attract the attention of the small readers because, in reality, they are like a second reading and if the child does not he understands them he will not enjoy and, therefore, the magic of the moment will be broken.A well illustrated children's story

will awaken children's curiosity and make them enjoy reading more. To finish I leave you a phrase: "Sharing is building"
