What is spring asthenia and how it affects children

Although spring asthenia is temporary for which there is no treatment or medicine that works, it should not be disregarded, since in the most extreme cases it can lead to depression. It is normal to suffer between one week and 15 days, the time it takes the body to get used to the new climate change and the increase in sun hours; but if the symptoms continue after that period we should consult with the pediatrician in case it is really another hidden disease after asthenia.

The best way to combat it is to follow healthy lifestyle habits. Here are some tips to make spring asthenia last as short as possible:

sleep routine without breaking it despite the time change , and let them sleep what they need on weekends.3- They should

eat five times a day , without skipping any food so they do not feel tired, in addition to providing a complete and varied menu.4-

Increase the intake of vegetables and fruits, in addition to drinking plenty of water to have a good hydration. Dairy products are also important because they act on the nervous system fighting sadness. 5- It is important to take

daily carbohydrates . Bread, pasta, cereals or rice provide higher glucose levels. It is advisable to take honey, as it strengthens our immune system and gives energy.6-

Decrease copious meals and fats that cause fatigue ; eliminate the pastries as much as possible, refreshments and the desired jellybeans to make way for more nutritious meals.7-

Have the child monitored , especially if the symptoms are accompanied by snot, sneezing, itchy eyes and nose or diarrhea; It may be that the child is suffering from an allergy picture that must be controlled by the pediatrician.
