At Guiainfantil.com we show you how you can create materials to teach weather changes to your children. Through this tutorial, you can create a climatic wheel, perfect for children to understand seasonal changes.

And it is that, many times, it is difficult for us to explain to children the different meteorological agents that exist and it is of special relevance that they come to understand them. A felt craft to learn by playing.

Material:

  • 2 sheets of felt size and felt colors
  • Cotton black, yellow and white
  • Yellow ball of 2.5 cm
  • 8 balls of porexpan of 0.4 cm of light blue color
  • 3 cm of black or brown rope
  • Butterfly clip
  • Pencil, scissors and ruler
  • Silicone gun

How to do, step by step, a weather roulette

- You will have to create the circular shape in the folio-size felts and then cut them out. You can use a plate for it.

- To create the clouds, connect with silicone 9 balls of white cotton. One of them will be left alone. To the second, it will be necessary to add to the back part with hot silicone, one of the balls of 2'5 cm of diameter of yellow color to make the sun. To the third cloud, hit it, on the back 3 strips of light blue color to simulate the wind. Finally, to the fourth cloud, you will put the 8 balls of blue porexpan imitating the rain. In addition, with the 3 cm of brown or black cord; with 2 pieces of felt white, black, green, orange; and with the 3 balls of cotton of black color we will make a snowman to explain the meteorological phenomenon of the snow.

- In the center of one of the large circles, it is necessary to put a rotating arrow that will indicate the weather. So that it can have movement, in the back part it must have a small hole, in order to place the butterfly clip that will also go through one of the two large circles having made a circle in the center of it. Once we have done the previous step, you can stick the other large circle, covering the wings of the butterfly clip.

- Stick each weather on the large circle that matches the arrow. Weather roulette can now be used by children to learn the atmospheric changes that can occur.
