Short poem: The phases of the moon
The moon dances in the sky,
next to the Earth and the sun,
also play hide-and-seek. Ay Oh, how unruly they are!
Although it is always in the sky,
sometimes it is not seen,
and although the sun always illuminates
it hides without being seen.
My teacher says
that this is Novilunio,
that is called New Moon
that has no trick.
Seven days have passed,
I look back at the sky,
a piece of moon I see
that grows more and more.
My teacher says
that the moon grows
that the sun illuminates it
that it is in the Fourth Crescent.
Another week has passed
the moon is shining,
it has become such a big ball
that it is about to explode.
He tells me that it is Full Moon
or it is also Full Moon,
that the three stars are aligned
so that the world can admire it.
After these three weeks
I do not stop admiring it,
now it gets smaller,
every time a little more.
It's called Fourth Waning,
and if you get more confused,
in less than another week
already in heaven you will not see.
Well my teacher tells me todo that everything starts again,
that we are in New Moon
and Fourth Crescent goes.
That they are phases of the moon,
and the same takes in giving
a turn on her,
that the Earth surrounds.
