Once upon a time many, many years ago, there were three kings who, besides being very wise, were able to read and interpret the stars. One lived in Europe, another in Asia and another in Africa and the three spent nights and nights staring at the stars, what neither knew is that one of them would change his life completely.

Story for children of the Magi

One day, Melchior a European king, with a long beard was white, as long as his intelligence was watching the stars from his palace. Suddenly he saw a shooting star, which stopped up in the sky and shone brighter than the others. Melchor was so intrigued that he decided to head towards the horizon to see her closer. He rode on his camel and left on a trip.

Gaspar, reigned in Asia, his hair and beard were chaste and, like Melchior, he was a man of great wisdom. He also saw the star from his castle and without thinking twice, mounted on his camel and set off after the beautiful light.

In Africa, another king famous for his astrological predictions, was looking at the sky. His name was Baltasar and on him also the bright star rested. Melchior ran to his stables, mounted on his camel and headed after the bright star.

After a few days of traveling, the three kings met on the road. Both began to talk about the firmament and that new star that attracted them powerfully. The three came to the same conclusion: the star would lead them to the birth of a new king, a king of kings.

Everyone agreed that a king of kings needed gifts worthy of his person. Melchior decided to keep an eye, Gaspar Incense and Baltasar myrrh, the best present of the time.

After a long trip the Magi arrived to Bethlehem, just where the star had settled and they found with great joy and as they had thought a baby, with their mother María and her father, José. Melchior, Gaspar and Baltasar, got on their knees in front of the manger where El Niño slept and put the gifts at their feet.

The baby Jesus, was so happy with his visit that gave the three wise men the gift of eternal life and the ability to bring gifts to all the children of the world once a year.
