Many times we want to give a book to a child and we are not sure if we will succeed or not. What books do children who already know how to read fluently prefer?

What are the books that children like the most?
Children usually demand books related to the fashion that prevails at the moment. That is to say: the books also attend to fashions. For example, the books of Gerónimo Stilton or those of Junie B. Jones...
Undoubtedly they are interesting books, that children stimulate and entertain them, but sometimes they forget everything offered by other types of books, more classics and old ones, of consecrated writers like Roald Dahl, Michael Ende or Carlo Frabetti. These are authors connect very well with children, but propose a type of literature that is not given now, a more developed literature, more intense, that encourages children to think.
How are the books our children read
The most current books, those that our children prefer, almost look like interactive books. They gather all these characteristics:
- Very little text.
- Many illustrations and very attractive.
- A lot of 'hooliganism'.
- It's a mix between book and comic.
- They are shallow.
