After 6 months, the baby palate starts an adventure of new flavors, textures and foods. The introduction of food should be done little by little and each food separately so that your baby gets used to the different flavors and textures. The ideal is a new food every week, to make it easier to get used to and assimilate and tolerate without problems. In this way, you will be able to identify any possible allergy or intolerance.

Baby food from 6 to 9 months

These are the basic foods that should be part of the weekly menu of the baby between 6 and 9 months:

- Infant formulas: Continuation milk.

- Cereal grids with gluten: They are introduced after 6 months.

- Rice

- Fruits: Usually start with the orange, apple, pear or banana, avoiding those fruits that are considered more allergenic until at least one year of age, as is the case of strawberries or peaches.

- Vegetables: You can introduce the boiled tomato (without skin or seeds) from the eighth month, and the cabbages, cabbage, leek, celery and turnips from the ninth month.

- Water

- Chicken and Turkey

- Veal: 6-7 months

- Bread and cookies María: seventh month

- White fish: ninth month. The sole, hake and rooster, included in the vegetable purees and in small quantities to control possible allergies. Fresh or frozen, fish has a high content of nutrients such as iodine, proteins, phosphorus, calcium and a large amount of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.

- Yogurt: ninth month

NOTE: Weekly menu for a baby of 8 - 9 months of age with all the foods of this stage already introduced.
