The lazy bird, a story about laziness for children
There was once a nice bird, but very, very lazy. Every day, at the time of getting up, you had to be calling him a thousand times until finally he got up; and when there was a task to be done, it delayed everything until there was almost no time left to do it. Everyone constantly warned him:

The birds spent the whole summer flying and playing, and when the fall began and the cold began to begin, everyone began preparations for the great trip to a warmer country. But our little bird, always lazy, was leaving everything for later, sure that it would give him time to prepare the trip. Until one day, when he got up, there was no one left.
Like every day, several friends had tried to wake him up, but he had responded half-asleep that he would get up later, and he had continued to rest for a long time. That day it was time to start the great trip, and the rules were clear and known to all: everything had to be prepared, because there were thousands of birds and you could not wait for anyone. Then the little bird, who would not know how to make only that long journey, realized that because he was so lazy, it would be his turn to go through that long, cold winter alone.
At first he was crying a lot of time, but then he thought that just as he had done things very badly, he could also do them very well, and without leaving any time for laziness, he began to prepare everything thoroughly to be able to stand alone the cold of winter . First he searched for days the most protected place of the cold, and there, among some rocks, he built his new nest, which he reinforced with branches, stones and leaves; then he worked tirelessly to fill it with fruit and berries de, so that he did not lack food to last all winter, and finally he even created a small pool inside the nest to store water. And when he saw that the nest was perfectly prepared, he trained himself to endure without hardly eating or drinking water, to be able to stay in his nest without leaving during the time that lasted the most severe snow.And although it seems incredible,
all those preparations allowed the bird to survive the winter . Of course, he had to suffer a lot and did not stop a day of regretting having been so lazy.So, when spring arrived, his old friends returned from their great journey, everyone was surprised to find the little bird alive, and it seemed to them that this lazy and lazy little bird could have prepared that magnificent nest and resisted by himself. And when they found that there was not a bit of laziness left in their small body, and that he had become the most forward-thinking and hard-working of the colony, they all agreed to entrust him with the organization of the great trip for the following year.
And everything was so well done and so well prepared, that they even had time to invent a special alarm clock, and no longer any bird, no matter how lazy, had to go back to winter alone.
