What Kung Fu movements are based on

Kung Fu is a discipline that includes fighting but focused only on self-protection. It is based on Buddhist principles and among its premises we find the search for self-control, inner peace and nonviolence avoiding conflict.

This ancient art requires both physical and mental training and can be practiced at any age. In fact, since an animated film used it for its main character (Kung Fu Panda), the children have shown much more interest for him. The movements of this martial art are based on five animals:

1. The dragon: use this animal as a symbol of the cultivation of the spirit to control breathing.

2. The crane: for its balance and elegance.

3. The tiger: represents the strength of the movements and the struggle in self-protection.

4. The snake: is taken as reference by the fluidity of the movements that are used.

5. The leopard: symbolizes the speed and dexterity of movements.
