The dark swallows will return. Bécquer's love poem

Poetry teaches children vocabulary, helps them think and also improves their memory and concentration. There are poems with rhyme and poetry full of metaphors. This poem by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer is written for an adult audience, but you can use it with older children to deal with the topic of love

Poetry teaches children vocabulary, helps them think and also improves their memory and concentration. There are poems with rhyme and poetry full of metaphors.

This poem by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer is written for an adult audience, but you can use it with older children to deal with the topic of love and lack of love. It is a beautiful poem about falling in love with metaphors. Love, like a swallow, arrives fast on the heart. But he also leaves. That love that came and went is unique and unrepeatable.

Poem by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. The dark swallows will return

The dark swallows will return

On your balcony their nests will hang,

And again with the wing to their crystals

Playing will call.

But those that the flight restrained

your beauty and my happiness to contemplate,

those who learned our names ... esas those ... will not return!

The dense honeysuckle

of your garden will return the walls to climb,

and again in the even more beautiful afternoon

its flowers will open.

But those, covered with dew

whose drops we watched tremble

and fall like tears of the day ... esas those ... will not return!

They will return from love in your ears

the burning words to sound;

your heart from your deep sleep

may wake up.

But mute and absorbed and kneeling

as God is worshiped before his altar,

as I have loved you ...; get upset,

so ... they will not love you!
