It is evident the transformation that your day to day will suffer with the arrival of the baby and that is why it is not strange that insomnia appears. But we want to look for all the causes of insomnia after birth to be able to treat them. Your baby also needs you rested.
Causes of insomnia after childbirth
- Tiredness. Surely insomnia already appeared in the last trimester of pregnancy due to fatigue. You are even more tired after childbirth because of the physical exhaustion that is supposed to give birth. So it's a matter of a few weeks before you recover.
- First-time mothers. Almost all mothers have trouble sleeping during the first months of the baby, but insomnia is almost assured in the case of first-time mothers. The responsibility of taking care of a baby is completely new to you and you are afraid to fall asleep and something will happen to you. Your insomnia is the product of your insecurity.
