Farmer Stahlbaum and his wife were having a Christmas party. Clara and her brother, children of Stahlbaum, were very happy. Clara waited impatiently for the magician Drosselmeyer, his favorite uncle, a toy maker who always came with something new.

The magician arrived with his nephew, Fritz, and a large box of surprises from which they came out successively a soldier dancer, a doll and a polar bear with his calf. Clara wanted to keep the doll, but her mother explained that it is impossible.

The girl began to mourn inconsolably and Drosselmeyer feeling the grief of the girl, surprised her with a special gift: a large wooden nutcracker . His brother received the King of the Mice. In a fight between brothers, the Nutcracker breaks, but Drosselmeyer fixes it with a bandage and leaves it almost perfect.

When the party ends, the guests leave and the little Nutcracker stays next to the Christmas tree. Before midnight, the girl goes down to see her Nutcracker, but when she falls asleep she begins to dream that everything comes to life around her:

The King of the Mice and his band of rodents that terrify the girl appear. But suddenly the toy soldiers come, commanded by the nutcracker to defend Clara. Fritz helps them as an artillery captain and the girl feels protected by these new friends. However they begin to lose the battle. Clara arms herself with courage and throws one of her shoes to the King of the Mice. He knocks it down, the Nutcracker kills it and the mice run away.

That's when the Nutcracker transforms into a beautiful prince and invites Clara and Fritz to a journey through the enchanted forest. Upon reaching the forest, they meet the king and the snow queen who dance for them next to the snowflakes. The dance turns into a whirlwind and finally drives the sled, with the prince, Clara and Fritz on board, to a place full of magic. Clara, Fritz and the prince arrive at the kingdom of candies, where they are received by a fairy. There the fairy asks the prince to narrate his adventures as a nutcracker and after this, a wonderful party begins that culminates in a dance between the prince and the fairy. Clara and Fritz return to reality in their sleigh.FIN
