No need to go to the store and spend a lot of money on Christmas decorations, just have time and desire to have a good time with children to make our own Christmas decorations.

We suggest you make a nice Santa using a roll of toilet paper. It is a simple craft to do and will help children to boost motor coordination in addition to living the Christmas spirit.

Materials

  • A roll of toilet paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Brush and red and white paint
  • Cotton
  • Glue
  • Plastic eyes
  • Black, red and yellow cardboard

How to make, step by step, a cardboard Santa Claus

1. Draw a half-circumference pencil on the end of a roll of toilet paper and color it white. The rest paint it red.

2. Put glue around the white oval and stick small pieces of cotton.

3. Print this page and cut out each piece. They will serve as templates for the belt, hat and feet of Santa Claus.

4. Put the long strip and the feet on black cardboard; the small square, on yellow cardboard, and the cone for the cap on red cardboard. Cut all the pieces. Then stick the yellow square on the black strip and both on the roll, as a belt of Santa Claus.

5. Stick the feet to the base of the toilet paper roll.

6. Fold the cone over itself and join the ends, then glue the hat on the loop. Glue the plastic eyes and make a big smile.
