All eggs, whether raw or cooked, look identical. But there is a curious way to find out if an egg has been cooked or not without having to open the shell for it.

With this experiment for children we teach you to check the difference between a boiled egg and a raw egg. And what is better, we just need to turn them to find out.

Materials

  • 1 boiled egg
  • 1 raw egg
Tip: We recommend that you do the experiment on a large surface to avoid any of the eggs falling. Especially the oil, since it would be all lost!

How to know if an egg is cooked, step by step

1. Take two eggs, one cooked and one raw.

2. Remove them from each other until we no longer know which is the raw egg and which is the cooked one.

3. Choose one of the two at random and turn it on the table.

4. Take the remaining egg and turn it on the table. You will see that the raw egg hardly rotates, while the boiled egg does, as it is much more compact since there is no liquid inside.
