Children's literature is very important in the educational development of the child, so you have to introduce reading from early ages through children's stories with morals. In this way, children will learn the main values of life while increase their imaginative capacity.

A good way to instill literature in children is for parents to share a moment of reading with them. In Guiainfantil we propose several short stories in which the relationship between parents and children is the center of all history.

The three sons of the King

This was a King who had three sons. As he was old, he wanted to choose the smartest of the three to name his heir.

Then the King said to the eldest son:

Tomorrow, at dawn, I will go out riding through my kingdom. I want you to come with me.

The next day the oldest one appeared in the royal chamber, but not as early as he had sent him. "I want to get dressed," said the King.

The eldest son looked for the servant, but the servant did not know what dress the King wanted to wear. The major returned to the real camera and asked him. "The green," said the King.

The eldest son told the servant that the King wanted the green dress, but the servant did not know what cloak the King wanted to wear, so the eldest returned to the royal chamber and asked him. "The white one," said the king.

The same thing happened with the pants and the slippers, until the servant brought all the clothes and helped to dress the King. And when he was already dressed and shoes:

-I want a horse, said the king.

The eldest son went to the stables and told the stableman to prepare a horse for the King, but the groom did not know which horse to prepare, so the eldest returned to the royal chamber and asked him. "The Negro," said the King.

The eldest son told the groom that the King wanted the black horse, but the groom did not know what mount he should place, so the eldest returned to the royal chamber and asked him. "The gold one," said the King.

The same happened with the spurs and the reins, with the sword and the shield.

When everything was ready:

-Cabalga tú, "said the King," tour the city and tell me around what you have seen.

The eldest son left the palace, mounted on the black horse, and accompanied by many knights and warriors who played drums and trumpets.

-What do you think? the king asked him on his return.

And the eldest son answered that the trumpets and drums that accompanied him made a lot of noise.

The next day

he sent for the second son

and he did all the tests he had done to the eldest, and

the middle one said the same thing.

The next day

he sent the youngest son to go to his room very early . And the youngest got up early and entered the royal chamber when the King was still asleep and was very quiet waiting until he woke up. "I want to get dressed," said the King. The youngest son then asked for the suit he wanted to wear, and also for the cloak, trousers and slippers and went to look for them and he himself brought everything, in one trip. He did not want to call any servant, but he also helped him get ready. And when I was already dressed and shoes. "I want a horse," said the King. The youngest son asked what horse he wanted to prepare and with what mount. Brake, reins, sword and shield were also reported, and even knights and soldiers were to escort him. And so, at one time, he prepared everything. "You are riding," said the King, "walk through the city and tell me what you have seen around the corner.

The youngest son left the palace, mounted on a white horse and accompanied by many knights and soldiers, who played drums and trumpets. He silenced the music and saw the whole city, going through its streets, visiting the walls and climbing its towers. When he came back it was very late.-What do you think? the King asked him.

-The city is strong and very rich, but the wall is collapsed by the part of the river and that's where enemies could enter.

The youngest son recounted everything he had seen and heard during his visit to the city. Finally,

the King chose the younger son as his heir después, after comparing the signs he saw in the others and in this one. And, when he ascended the throne, he was a great King. The most powerful of all the Moorish kingdoms.
