A game does not have to be complicated to please children, quite the opposite. In fact, simple games are not only ideal for entertaining children, but are much more educational and help them develop their skills and creativity.

This is the case of 'Hanged' or 'The hung', a popular game that tests children's ingenuity, their knowledge of vocabulary and their handling of letters.

How to play 'Hangman' with the children

How to play: The person in charge of drawing the hangman chooses a word, they draw on paper so many lines as letters have that word. It may or may not give a clue, depending on the degree of difficulty desired.

The other players take turns saying the letters they think the word contains. When a letter is successful, the hanger manager puts the letters in the corresponding place. When a letter is missed, it is written on one side and the first stroke of the drawing of the hanged man is made.

If the players get the word right before the drawing is completed they win the game. To make the game easier or harder, the hangman can be added details such as eyes, mouth etc.

Benefits for children: In addition to stimulating intelligence and attention, children review the letters of the alphabet, both their writing and pronunciation, and learn new words.
