To decorate the children's room we do not need a high budget, but use imagination and use inexpensive materials. A good example is this multi-colored butterfly craft made with toilet paper roll.

Handicrafts with paper rolls will teach children to take care of the environment and the possibilities of recycled materials, as well as being an opportunity to have fun as a family making children's crafts.

Materials

  • One roll of toilet paper
  • Dark green cardboard
  • Light green cardboard
  • Black cardboard
  • Stickers or adhesive foami
  • Glue
  • Marker pen
  • Scissors

How to make a butterfly with a roll of toilet paper

1. Prepare all the materials. Print and cut out the template for the wings and antennas, which you can find HERE.

2. Cut a rectangle of light green cardboard (or dark, you can combine the tone you prefer) the same width as the height of the paper roll, and long enough to cover the entire roll. Marca

3. Mark the template on dark green cardboard, and the antennas on black cardboard (remember to make two with the same template). Cut out the pieces.

4. Fold the central part of the wings, which will be glued to the paper tube. Decorate the wings with stickers or foami adhesive, reserve two circles (you can make them with cardboard) to stick on the front of the roll and make the eyes of the butterfly.

5. Put glue on the wings and glue them on the back of the tube. Fold the upper part of the antennas, put glue on the bottom and stick them inside the roll.
