How to play 'Naval Battle' with the children

Recommended age:From 7 years old

Players:2

How to play:Four squared papers of the same size, two for each player, are needed, in which rows (with letters) and columns (with numbers) are numbered. In one of them, without you see the contrary, we distribute our fleet horizontally or vertically, but never diagonally. The most common is to put four boats of a square, two boats of three squares, three boats of two cuatdados and a boat of four squares.

Each player starts with three coordinates (for example, A-1, C-4, D-2). The opponent must check and say aloud if we have failed (saying 'water') or if we have hit a boat. The successes and errors are indicated in the grid that we have empty. Win whoever finds all the other's boats before.

Benefits for children: In addition to improving cognitive skills such as logic and strategic thinking, it also benefits the learning of spatial perception. It also serves to review the letters and numbers.
