The forest was disturbed. All her fairies were working very hard to make the 100th birthday party of the Enchantress Major a success. It was going to be a big surprise.
There were just a few hours before she arrived from her trip, which she made every year, through the nearby seas. And there was still a lot to do.
The Fairy of the Creatures adorned all the animals of the forest. Mr. Owl was knotted in a blue tie with green dots. A red tulle skirt is what Mrs. Squirrel chose. All the ants decided to put a hat on their heads and Mr. Zorro opted for purple gloves. Mrs. Weasel wanted to carry a large bag of flowers. They were all very handsome and elegant.
The Fairy of the Fruits prepared a great cake. For this he chose the favorite fruits of the Sorceress Major: pineapple, banana, blackberries and apples. He made it very big, multi-storey, because he did not want anyone to be hungry. It was going to be delicious, and so that it was also pretty, he decorated it with candy bows and small flowers.
While everyone was working, the Fairy of Flowers and the Fairy of Light fought over decoration. The first one wanted to create a carpet of orange and pink flowers, hang garlands from the trees of yellow and purple flowers, build chairs intertwining brown and red flowers ... And the second one wanted the trees to hang lanterns, that there were only candles on the tables ... They argued and could not agree. Finally it was the Fairy of the Inventions who found the solution. With a spell moving his magic barita in circles he created flowers that emitted light of many colors.
It was at that moment when the Sorceress Major came to the forest. Everything was perfect and, while the birthday girl was excited grateful for the surprise, all the birds began to sing 'Happy Birthday'.
