One of the most used means of transport is the plane, but the time of the first trip with a child is approaching, doubts and fears arise that can make the flight become a moment Tense for parents and children.

Next, we will explain how to face the first flight with a child, which despite looking like something that can cause problems, is another experience to live with children, since it is a means of transport that generates a lot of expectation and excitement.

Tips to have a happy first flight with children

The first thing to keep in mind is that, despite what you may think, children are able to face a plane trip from the first days of life, although as in the adults it is advisable to follow a series of guidelines to avoid possible disorders.

The first and last moment of the flight, takeoff and landing, is the most delicate because it is very easy to generate a situation of stress in the child. It is advisable to give the bottle to the baby or, if the child is older, offer him a candy or chewing gum, to avoid his ears hurt by the change in atmospheric pressure. In addition, it is advisable to give the child frequently to drink during the flight, to avoid dehydration due to the dry air of the plane.

Another thing to keep in mind is the child's clothing. You should wear a comfortable and appropriate clothing to the temperature on the plane, and even if the trip is going to be made at night, you can put on your pajamas, so that the little one feels more relaxed and can fall asleep with more ease.

In addition, if we are aware that the child is prone to dizziness, it is advisable not to eat too much in the hours before the flight. You can also bring some medication against seasickness in your hand luggage, to give it to you if necessary. Another thing to include in the hand luggage are sterilized bottles, or regular food that we give to the child, to avoid possible digestive disorders.

Finally we must not forget to include your favorite toys, so that the child can entertain during the flight and it is not too heavy.
