They repacked their cattle

behind the back of a hill

of the tower of Bethlehem

the sleepy shepherds,

around the trunks

of some lighted oaks,

that, snapping to the air,

gave clarity to the forest.

In the gnarled pens

the

shrink,

escarcha en en en en

Not far away the fierce wolves,with the ferocious howls,they challenge the mastiffs,

that where they sound, they respond.

When the dark clouds,

of sun crowned, breaks

a

celestial Captain

of his noble armies,

astonished are knocked down

of themselves the shepherds, por and by the fire the hands over the eyes are put.

The dogs raise their foreheads,

and the sheep run around each other in turmoil

with disappointed bleating.

When the sovereign nunciothe golden feathers choose,

and falling in love with the air,

he tells them such reasons:

Glory to God in the highest

,

peace on earth to men,

God was born in Bethlehem

on this happy night.

"He was born of a pure Virgin;

look for him, you know where, that in his arms you will find himwrapped in poor blankets. "

celestial birds

in a conforming applause

accompanying his flight

gave the air colors.

shepherds

, summoning with sweet and cheerful voices

the whole mountain range, knocking down

palms and noble laurels

Ramos in the hands carry,

and crowned with flowers,

through the snow they form paths

singing joyful songs.

They arrive at the Blessed portal and although together they crown him

clusters of

seraphim

,

they want the laurel to decorate him

The pure and beautiful Virgin

they find saying love to the newborn child,

that Man and God is named.
